Located in the center of the campus and in the middle of the parking lot with high exposure to those driving or walking past, the design masks, but does not hide the important function within. Brick and precast concrete were used to be consistent with other campus buildings providing a sense of place. The building is partially enclosed for the pump area and open over the towers. Decorative screens were used that allow only partial views of the towers creating interest in a building type that typically is not interesting. The screens also allowed maximum flow of air required by the equipment.
