NETWORK INFORMATION CENTER Atlanta, GA
This building is prominently displayed along one of Atlanta’s busiest freeway. An 110,000 sq. ft. facility that houses data center and administrative offices functions. The work included development of programming, space planning, interior design, overall design, assistance in site usage and master planning for future facilities. The design took advantage of the need to keep the roof drains on the exterior to reduce the potential of water entering the building and to keep the water away from the equipment. The downspouts became architectural elements, which gives this building its identity. The peach palette was chosen to signify its importance and presence in the state of GA. This building was to be a showcase and the progressive high tech image is also carried throughout the interior. The repetitive and modular design of the façade was chosen to save time and money and for ease of quick construction. Project Size: 110,000 Sq. Ft. Construction Cost: $25 M
